The Hsinchu Incinerator/Energy Plant - they burn 200 trucks of garbage a day and generate enough power to sell to other parts of the island. It was a very impressive (and odor-free) plant.

There are 3 - 5 people whose jobs are to sort through the garbage - by hand and with little shovels - to separate out items that can't be burned or are hazardous.
